Aunt Annie's Crafts
ZIP File Installation Instructions

Crafts for Windows

Requirements

Aunt Annie's Crafts for Windows will run on almost any computer that runs Windows (XP, Me, 98, 95, 3.1 or NT). Memory and disk requirements are minimal: 1MB of RAM, 1.5MB of available disk storage. A printer is required to print patterns and instruction sheets.

Installation

  1. UnZIP file to Temporary Directory

On Windows XP, just double click the ZIP file (annie14.zip) to extract the installation files to your computer.

To install Aunt Annie's Crafts from a ZIP file on older versions of Windows, first create a temporary directory on your hard disk and unZIP the files to this directory. To do an unZIP you will need a program such as PKUNZIP or WinZip. Click to download WinZip or PKUNZIP. WinZip will automatically unZIP the files and run Setup when you click the Install button.

  2. Run SETUP

Aunt Annie's Crafts provides a setup program to install the program for use from Windows. The process takes about 5 minutes.

    • On Windows XP, Me, 98, 95: Select Run from the Taskbar Start menu.
On Windows 3.1 or Windows NT: Activate Windows Program Manager and select RUN from the Program Manager's File menu.
    • Type C:\TEMP\SETUP in the text box. (Use the drive letter and temporary directory filename where you unZIPped the files in place of C:\TEMP)
    • Click OK. The SETUP program will bring up a window.
    • The setup program will ask you to enter the path where you want Aunt Annie's Crafts installed. Click CONTINUE to accept the default directory of C:\ANNIE.

  3. Installation Complete

Aunt Annie's Crafts and the Paper Project Sampler Book (and any add-on books) are now installed on your system. Double click on the Aunt Annie program icon in the Aunt Annie program group to start Aunt Annie's Crafts. Double click the manual icon for a short introduction to Aunt Annie's Crafts. More detailed information is available in the on-line help.

  4. Cleanup

If you created a temporary install directory on your hard disk, you may delete it now.
