It's easy to make a tube-shaped gift bag in any size and depth, limited only by the size of the paper. The tube-shaped bags are made from a rectangular sheet of paper. To create the bag size you want, you'll need to calculate the paper's width and height. Follow the steps below to determine the paper size, or use Aunt Annie's Any Size Worksheet to make the calculations easier.

To make paper size calculations easier, print the Any Size Worksheet. Use the worksheet as a reference for marking fold lines.
First, decide the width (w), height (h), and depth
(d) of the bag you want to make. Next, calculate the size of paper
needed using the formulas below or by filling in the
Any Size Worksheet.
Width: w x 2 + ½"
Height: h + d + 1½"
Cut a rectangle of paper to the calculated width and height.
Tip: For this style of bag, the depth cannot exceed half the width minus ½" (d < w/2 - ½").
On the back of the paper, mark fold lines. Draw one line 1" from the top edge, a second line the bag’s depth plus ½" up from the bottom edge, and a third line ½" from the right edge.
Tip: Refer to the Any Size Worksheet for fold line placement.
Make the bag according to the Tube-shaped Gift Bags instructions. When forming the base, fold the bottom edge up ½" past halfway. Then fold the top edge of the base down the same amount so the two edges overlap. Glue in place.
That's it! You are done!
