Standard Triangle Flap Envelope Patterns

Download these standard printable envelopes with triangle flaps. Each pattern prints on Letter/A4 paper and includes cutting and folding guides. These simple triangle-flap envelopes work well for invitations, note cards, and handmade greeting cards. Use the chart below to choose the envelope size that fits your card.

Each pattern is a PDF file that prints on standard Letter/A4 paper.

Here's what you need:
  • Computer paper (white or colored)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Optional: Crayons, colored pencils or markers, ruler and craft knife

Instructions

  1. Print directly onto white or colored paper.

  2. Cut out the envelope on the solid black line.

  3. Fold the side flaps in on the thin lines. Then fold the bottom flap up and the top flap down. Unfold the top and bottom flaps.

  4. Apply glue to the bottom flap where its overlaps the side flaps. Fold the bottom flap up and press to adhere.

  5. Insert card or note into the envelope. Fold the top flap down and seal with glue, tape or a sticker.
